We are a nonprofit organization committed to building a community of photographers. Our work ranges from fine art to documentary, color to black and white, traditional darkroom to digital imaging. We nurture each other’s professional and artistic growth through member activities such as artist talks, portfolio reviews, workshops, salons, and exhibitions. September 3 – October 31 A selection from Rebecca Chang's series of People In the City will be part of San Francisco Museum of Modern Art Artists Gallery's Sept/Oct selections in the loft gallery. Reception: September 3, 5:30-7:30

August 24 – October 3 Ari Salomon wil be exhibiting from his series 18 Rue Dugommier at Tomate, 2265 5th St, Berkeley.

BAPC Public Events


September 3–30
One Shot x2, BAPC annual member exhibition, Calumet Gallery, Opening Reception: September 13, 1-3pm

October 11 & 12  8 of our members (Tom DeCarlo, Adrienne Defendi, Alan George, Eric Larson, Charlotte Niel, Heather Polley, Angelika Schilli and Ari Salomon) will be participating in Open Studios at Fort Mason, Building C, Room 362. 11am-6pm.

October 11 & 12 Rebecca Chang will be participating in Open Studios at Fort Mason with Studio Nocturne. in the Marina Room in Landmark Building A.

November 2 – December 7 Loss, BAPC group exhibition of photographs dealing with different aspects of loss. Berkeley Art Center. Opening reception: Sunday, November 2, 2pm–4pm. Artists' Talk: Wednesday, November 12, 6:30pm–8:30pm.
